About Bella & Jules Boutique

Bella & Jules was born because of my obsession with jewelry.

After moving from California to Copenhagen, I started designing pieces that felt different from much of the jewelry I was seeing around me at the time. While Scandinavian style leaned heavily toward simple and minimal, I was drawn to color, beads, texture, larger earrings and pieces with a little more personality.

That became a big part of Bella & Jules from the beginning.

Over the years, the brand grew from jewelry into Bella & Jules Boutique, combining my own designs with handpicked pieces and products from independent, local makers and small businesses.

After stepping away from the business for a while, because life happens, I found myself missing it.

And somewhere between my travels, wandering through shops and markets, finding beautiful beads and simply starting to make things again, Bella & Jules started finding its way back to me.

So this is the next chapter.

Today, Bella & Jules is evolving again, with much of the inspiration coming from the places I travel, the colors I notice, the materials I find and the pieces I want to wear myself.

About Julia

I’m Julia, the founder and creative behind Bella & Jules Boutique.

Before moving to Denmark in 2012, I worked in marketing and events in Silicon Valley. After relocating to Copenhagen, I began exploring a more creative side of myself and eventually started designing jewelry.

Travel has always influenced the way I create. I’m constantly inspired by the colors, textures, markets, shops, architecture and small details I notice along the way.

Sometimes that inspiration becomes a specific piece. Sometimes it starts with finding a strand of beads and immediately knowing what I want to make.

And sometimes I simply make something because I love it and want to wear it myself.

The Bella & Jules Style

Color, texture and beads have always been at the heart of Bella & Jules.

I love pieces that feel effortless but still have personality. Something you can wear every day, but that doesn’t feel like everything else.

I’ve never believed style has to fit neatly into one category.

Some pieces are bold and colorful. Some are simpler. Some are playful, layered or oversized. Others are easy everyday pieces.

I source beads and materials from different places and love mixing colors, textures and materials rather than designing around one particular trend or aesthetic. Handmade Krobo recycled glass beads have been part of Bella & Jules from the beginning and continue to find their way into my designs, alongside gemstones, glass beads and other materials I discover and love.

What matters most is how something makes you feel when you put it on.

Style changes, trends come and go, and what we’re drawn to changes too. Bella & Jules is about wearing the colors, shapes and pieces that make you feel good, whenever you feel like wearing them.
